I’m someone who definitely believes in modern medicine, especially when it’s needed! But when you’re on meds constantly for chronic conditions, one might think that can’t be something the body can handle over time.
My mom went to a workshop put on by a pharmacist and she had some great points about medications depleting the nutrients in our bodies – it REALLY made sense once I started digging! When she informed me of this, I immediately went to “Dr Google” and started researching and WOW! MIND BLOWING!
Here’s the thing – I’m on a HIGH dose of antidepressants for pretty high anxiety due to one of my irrational phobias and fears (I’ll explain later). I’m also on Hormone Replacement Therapy because I had a TOTAL hysterectomy over 2 years ago and since I’m so young, my body NEEDS estrogen. In the past, I’ve been one to NEVER get sick at least until my hysterectomy and my antidepressants increased…
So, I suggest if you’re on ANY kind of medication evaluate how you’re feeling and check with your pharmacist and see if you need to supplement. I’m hoping that after a few months of increasing the vitamins that are being depleted from my system, some of my other symptoms will subside – like chronic insomnia, bad skin, and getting ill constantly.
Check out the chart below and if I were you, I’d definitely check into this!
