Hi everyone! My name is Jolene and I’m on a mission!
I’ve never had a healthy relationship with food and fitness until after my twins were born in 2009. I was bullied in my early-mid teens due to my weight and spent the rest of my teens and twenties judging myself, being self destructive, depressed, anxious, trying fad diets, falling into severe eating disorders, spending lots of money on those so called “miracle” pills and supplements, and pushing myself WAY too hard that I knew I was near death.
I FINALLY found a balance when my husband deployed to Afghanistan in 2012 and I needed something else to focus on and knew that my health needed to be a priority, due to the stress and anxiety of being a “single” mom and husband in war.
My mission is to share with YOU what I’ve learned and the tools I use! Fitness, eating clean & SUPPORT – that’s it, so SIMPLE! All it takes is 30 minutes a day 5-6 days per week! I eat 80% clean whole foods. I LOVE wine and chocolate and I don’t have to deprive myself of those two things either!
My lifestyle does NOT leave me feeling deprived because I’ve found a balance and I’m NOT starving myself or living on supplements, shakes & lettuce! Everything is simplified and I wish that this was available to me years ago! I’ve gone from overweight as a early teen, to 100lb in my 20s, over 200lb after my twins were born and now, I have balance in my life!
