What do you do when your body hurts & aches from training?
Do you take meds?
Roll it out?
Stretch it out?
Suffer through the pain & discomfort?
I always try to roll but doing activities like Yoga, Pilates and stretching need to be more of a part of my fitness routine!
Here’s why I love #PiYo & Pilates type workouts:
it makes me VERY uncomfortable which in turn makes me stronger.
It’s challenging for me to slow down & move my body in ways I don’t normally.
It reminds me to slow down and be present in the moment.
It helps clear the chatter in my mind.
Strength and flexibility improves all other areas of mental and physical fitness!
And don’t forget that awesome feeling of your tight muscles being unwound while getting a killer workout in & I was drenched!!
Being present with me- channeling my inner “yogi” and slowing down!!
Plus it’s helped me deal with my own anxiety and panic feelings that I tend to get.
