Well, it’s been a VERY VERY busy week + with us. We moved last week, which went very smooth and the twins did really good.
The day after the move, G came down with a high fever, so I started pushing motrin & tylenol & then the next night, F woke up screaming with a very high fever too (both were fevering for 24+hr). Then G started to get a “rash” that wasn’t quite eczema all over his eczema spots and then F started to get spots too… Turns out they both got eczema herpeticum from our neighbors son. If you don’t know what it is, you don’t really want to know, but you can google it.
It was really nice that DH was home from Sat-yesterday, so he was a HUGE help while the kids were so sick. We managed to use the pool 2x/day the past few days and I know that helped clean and dry out their blisters. Both and MUCH better today. G still needs to wear socks and pants because it’s all over his legs and feet and also needs to wear a sock on his left hand because he’s picking at his blisters there. F’s been really good. I think we caught her virus before it got more out of control like G’s and just has her ankles wrapped because she’s a picker (sounds awful I know), but it’ll prevent her from picking at her feet and will hopefully allow them to heal.
I just pray that we can ALL stay healthy for the next few months. My goal is to try to keep them away from too many people since their immune systems are down & not play with kids until we arrive back on the mainland. At lest they have each other.
On a lighter note, we’re getting settled in with our friends who we’re staying with until June 17. The carpet around the place is AMAZING and F’s been able to practice her walking a little more, although crawling is still her main way of moving around. G’s getting more and more brave and is standing a lot more, but hasn’t tried “walking” at all since we’ve moved. I really think it’s going to be some time before he really walks, which is fine with me 🙂
Anyways… That’s all there’s to update for now. Please keep us in your prayers.
